Who We Are

First Baptist Church traces its roots to 1818 when the first group of people organized a church. There has been a continual witness since then until the present.

We believe in the Bible as our guide for faith. We accept the priesthood of the believer as a means of ministry and witness. We believe in a saving faith in Jesus Christ. 

Our church is an intergenerational church. We have programs and activities for all age groups. We have an active senior adult ministry. A graded choir program that encourages participation from our preschool, children, youth adult and handbells. There is a Christmas and Easter presentation. We have an excellent Sunday School that provides classes from infants through senior adult. Several of our classes are coed and couples.  We have a children and youth ministry that encourages mission involvement, church camp and monthly activities.
